Doblin Discrimination Matrix

The project we did is about the doblin discrimination  matrix where you are rating a  things like from really bad to bad but still okay. Then trashy good to really good. I think the background worked out the best with all the bands logos in the background and the opacity lowered.  I think the most challenging thing is when i had to put the pictures on because it kept putting them behind the gray layer. What i would do differently next time is pick a different thing rather then bands. I used the pen tool, the type tool, and the paint bucket tool. The paint bucket tool was used to color the background and the logos in the back whenever they weren't the right color. the pen tool for tracing put the band logos. It would be good to use for if i wanted to compare a certain item and the different brands it comes in. Good for showing people like what is good and what is not.

Gig Posters

This Project was about designing a gig poster and having three different images that were our own. I think the flowers that on the poster worked out the best because of the way they do a s-curve type thing and that they fade out too. The most challenging was making the color schemes work with each other. I might try using more colors and putting the flowers in different places. I used the pen tool and the symbol tool where i added multiple flowers sized them, and colored them. I could use this for in the future for making posters of any kind.

Skateboards

Reflection

 This project is about making your own skateboard design and 5 different variations. I think the gradient tool worked out the best because its not as complicated as using the pen tool. Getting the colors of the board to fit together to where it doesn't look tacky. I would try other color combinations and add textures to it to make it better. I used the gradient tool, live paint tool, and the pen tool. The gradient tool is what gives it the color and fade into the other colors added to it. then the live paint tool paints the pen tool pictures that i traced before. It would help me in the future with if I want to do ombre colors with the gradient tool and the pen tool helps with tracing out pictures and changing the color of them with the live paint tool.

Pen trace picture

The project we did was where we take a picture and have to use the pen tool and trace the whole thing and live paint it. to make it look like the real picture but in a more of a cartoon form. I think the live paint worked put the most for me. The most challenging for me was getting all the details of the mine because of the different details made it hard. Maybe I would get a less blurry picture and it would probably help with the details. I used the pen tool and the live paint tool to trace the picture then the live paint to fill the picture after I traced it. I could use it in future for when i want to make something look like its in cartoon form.

 Advertisements can appear in different forms like newspapers which are for people who many like reading the newspaper more then actually watching the news on tv, commercials for people who watch tv a lot possibly, billboards when a persons driving around and they see the billboards for different things, and magazines appeal to women more often and a lot of times they're advertisements for makeup and medicine. I think an image can persuade a person to want to buy something. Maybe it would make them want to go and do something different becasue the advertisement said it was a good thing to do. Also depending on who or whats in the advertisement could persuade a person to buy or do something for it. Restaurant commercials would make a person want to go out and eat there I think that advertisements should be regulated by the government because of the things in advertisements are not true.And this could cause someone to get very mad at that company or whoever made it. Also some things that are put into advertisements are not appropriate for certain people or ages.

Self Portrait

This project was about a self portrait of things that represent me very well. I think that the head part of my body worked out the best. I was able to make it look sorta like a head with cookie eyes. The most challenging for me was the arms and legs because with the arms I couldn't make it to where the wrist bands were around the nail polish. If I had to do this again I would pick a different item to represent the arms. And same with my legs. The tools I used were quick selection tool, the cropping tool and magic wand tool. I could use what I've learned to make other portraits or when I want to make a poster for an event.
